Here are the Voip providers I have used in the past along with comments regarding their service. Before you chose a Voip provider to use, make sure they are located near your hometown to guarantee the best service.

Teliax www.teliax.com

  • Data Center Locations: New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO
  • Trouble Ticket response time: within 6 hours
  • Call Quality: Above Excellent
  • Reliability: 100%
  • Comments: VERY knowledgeable support representatives; Very convenient since they have 4 data centers to chose from; Reasonable international rates; A little expensive when calling long distance and receiving incoming calls (2 cents per min), but totally worth it; "E-fax" service included for incoming calls on specified DIDs.
  • This is currently my primary Voip provider

Voice Pulse Connect connect.voicepulse.com

  • Data Center Locations: New York, NY; San Francisco, CA
  • Trouble Ticket response time: Less than 1 hour
  • Call Quality: Above Excellent
  • Reliability: 99.9999%
  • Comments: Really great service and phone call support. They will actually investigate any issue before blaming it on your server. This has been one of the best Voip providers I have worked with; Cannot be used with g729 codec.

Bandwidth.com

  • Data Center Locations: Washington DC, MD; Atlanta, GA; San Jose, CA
  • Trouble Ticket response time: Less than 1 hour
  • Call Quality: Excellent
  • Reliability: 100%
  • Comments: Very expensive + contract required- designed for users who need absolute reliability; Very good service; Representatives will do their best to work with you to resolve any issues; Call quality is guaranteed, otherwise you can cancel your contract within 30 days.
Vitelity Communications www.vitelity.net
  • Data Center Location: Denver, CO
  • Trouble Ticket response time: Less than 8 hours in most cases
  • Call Quality: Very Good
  • Reliability: Poor
  • Comments: Great prices; Poor technical support when it comes to issues on their end; They will not work with their customers with issues on their end unless you force the representative to assist you, and show him/her how it cannot be an issue on your end; Before you use, you should do from trixbox: mtr outbound1.vitelity.net and make sure there is no packet loss in connections over 45ms, otherwise it is very possible that you will experience call quality issues and static in phone calls; If you are far from Denver, you can get an XO Communications T1 and make a direct link with Vitelity, This will reduce latency and improve call quality. However, reliability remains the same; Efax service for incoming and outgoing faxes- very useful.

Aretta Communications www.aretta.com

  • Data Center Location: Georgia
  • Trouble Ticket response time: Anywhere between 1 hour and 7 days
  • Call Quality: Excellent
  • Reliability: 99%
  • Comments: They are really made only if you are using them with their hosted PBX solution, otherwise they won't want to waist time helping you, even the issue is on their end. However, call quality is really good, and ZERO issues with DTMF.

Junction Networks www.junctionnetworks.com

  • Data Center Location: New York, NY
  • Trouble Ticket response time: Within 3 hours
  • Call Quality: Very Good
  • Reliability: 100%
  • Comments: Very very expensive; I use them for international calling since it is very reliable; Good to be used as a backup outgoing provider; For those companies who need reliability as good as Bandwidth.com, but do not want  to pay per channel or sign a contract, this is the service to go with for DIDs.

Gizmo Project www.gizmoproject.com

  • Data Center Location: (Not sure)
  • Trouble Ticket response time: Within one week
  • Call Quality: Average
  • Reliability: 99%
  • Comments: Designed for 3 or less users who do not produce heavy call traffic
  • This was my first Voip provider I used, and I only used them for about 3 weeks
